Cindy was the pioneer researcher
to study European earthworm communities in Minnesota hardwood
forests and their impact on the woodland wildlfower community
and forest soils. She successfully defended her Ph.D. Thesis
during December 2003, with Lee Frelich and Peter Reich as
advisors. Cindy is now studying European earthworm invasion
in mixed aspen-conifer forests, including Voyageurs National
Park, MN, with George Host at the Natural Resources Research
Institute in Duluth, MN.
